what your looking at here is the starter area. yes thats a drip of water on it... looks like i might have lost a frost plug, I hope the block isnt cracked. it started dripping when it started warming up (i didnt run it because the water was drained) I guess the rad bieng so high the water didnt all drain out Posted by Picasa

It isnt very pretty on the outside... but this is one sweet smallblock. It has 12:1 pistons and open chamber heads netting about 10:1 compression ratio, ported heads edelbrock intake and a holly carb... its getting fresh headers, and a edelbrock carb with an offroad kit in it. Posted by Picasa

I removed the front clip, now the engine etc is very easy to access... Posted by Picasa

I used a 3/4 ton comealong to hold it all together. its ugly but it worked...  Posted by Picasa

Heres a shot of my broken frame and how I got my truck off the mountain (note the chain) Posted by Picasa

Putting smaller tires on the front makes it a lot easier to reach into the hood area Posted by Picasa

now we need some parts, enter 1 beat up retired bush warrior...  Posted by Picasa

Its a little high at the front right now because I havent done a suspension lift to the rear yet Posted by Picasa

Since I was done with the frame for a while and needed the room I tucked it back under the body Posted by Picasa

now it has a nice positive curve to it (and another 4" of lift) thisis a different front differential its a dana 44 it has been completely rebuilt I only need to switch the rotors because these are for 6 bolt rims Posted by Picasa

notice the leaf spring in this picture with no motor or body on it its already has a slightly negative bend to it that wont do... Posted by Picasa

Dec 3 05 I got a lot done today, I finished landing one frame on top of the other. I used 8 6 x 12 x 1/4 plates and 96 plated grade 8 bolts Posted by Picasa

At least it has a solid floor in it now Posted by Picasa

the body is on the floor Posted by Picasa

Made it back to the shop under my own power, we tied a bit of rope around the tire for traction as the 44s are pretty bald, and thats the last trip that truck is going to make Posted by Picasa

I changed the axel right there with help from my friend Derek all and all quite an ordeal getting back out in the rainy season Posted by Picasa
